Meet the Teachers

Karen Lengacher, Director/Teacher

Karen is currently in her 10th year of teaching at Oak Grove Preschool. She spent four years prior to Oak Grove at another center teaching and fulfilling the duties of Assistant Director. Karen earned her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Akron. She is responsible for overseeing the program as the Director and teacher. Karen is in charge of creating and implementing lesson plans that meet the program’s goals and state standards. She has a passion for young children and greets and communicates with the parents and students each day. Her focus is to prepare each child in the program both educationally and socially for school.

Deb Kurtz, Assistant Teacher

Deb is in her 27th year at Oak Grove Preschool.She has made a huge impact in so many young lives. Deb carries out the task of daily art projects, supervision of the children and helping to maintain a safe and fun learning environment. She is also responsible for many unseen extras that benefit the program greatly. She brings wisdom and experience to Oak Grove Preschool every day.
