The Ohio Mennonite Relief Sale began in 1966. The sale was started by a group of dedicated individuals who wanted to aid Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) in world relief. The Ohio Mennonite Relief Sale has a policy of selling only what is donated by individuals. Proceeds from the sale go to Mennonite Central Committee (MCC). MCC is the relief, service and development agency of North American Mennonite and Brethren in Christ Churches. Quilts, handmade items, food, and activities such a Run for Relief and Penny Power are all part of the first Saturday in August event held at Central Christian School, Kidron.
